Environmental Toxins and Lyme disease, do they contribute to Autism
Recently, the Borrelia Bacteria which causes Lyme disease has been discovered in autistic children. There have also been fetuses and babies who had no exposure to text, but yet had Lyme disease. It has been found that the bacterium may be passed from mother to child through exposure and is not only passed through tick bites. Some studies are indicating that this trend may run in families where the disease or bacterium is passed from parents to their children. Unfortunately, if untreated, it is known to cause brain damage and often hard symptoms to diagnose era found commonly in autistic children.
Lyme disease bacterium has been found by researchers in autistic children or in their family tree. Unfortunately, when this bacterium enters the body of such a young individual there is little resistance to it penetrating the brain. The lack of resistance, allows easy access, where it immediately begins to produce toxins. Glutathione which is needed by the body to remove toxins is often used up and unable to be replaced as more and more toxins are produced within the brain. This normal disruption in detoxification of the brain leads to autism. This is suspected to happen in around 40% of cases. There also may be an auto immune response that happens against the brain, which is initiated by the Lyme bacteria. This is suspected in approximately 60% of autism cases that are caused by Lyme disease.

Our children are bombarded daily by external toxins from our toxic society and toxic world. Allow our children to breed in or take interest in an untold number of chemicals. In your everyday home your child can come and tonic on tact with pesticides, household cleaners, traces of herbicides on your food, construction materials, toxic carpets and food. You child may have had a reaction or absorbed toxic chemicals through their clothing that is used in laundry detergent. For infants, they may receive these toxins directly through breast milk, in foods or other items that mother has ingested. If baby formula or baby food is used, these all contain toxins.
When a parent take solace in the consideration is hard to guess how many other factors may cause autism. One of the leading the lease is to why autism especially through environmental factors through the vaccines and Lyme disease show high rates of autism is due to a lack of Glutathione.
When chemicals and heavy metals have flooded the body whether through vaccines, foods, environmental toxins or Lyme disease a lack of glutathione prevents the detoxification of the impurities. This inability to detoxify the brain impedes normal brain function, and often times I autism develops as a result.
It is believed that up to 70% of autism is caused by vaccines, while around 10% of autism cases are related to environmental toxins and approximately 20% may be related to Lyme disease. Although it is unknown of the actual cause it is known that individuals with autism, who have had early detection, stand a favorable recovery diagnoses. |
